At CJD we had the privilege of welcoming 8billionideas2.0 to work with our Year 5 and Year 6 students on a practical sustainability programme. Throughout the experience, pupils explored real environmental challenges in urban areas and reflected on how innovation can support a greener future. Working collaboratively, they developed creative ideas and built prototypes using recyclable materials, turning concepts into tangible solutions. The process encouraged critical thinking, teamwork and confident communication, connecting classroom learning with real world challenges. The project concluded with a final showcase of eco-city concepts, highlighting imagination, problem solving and a strong sense of environmental responsibility. This initiative reflects our commitment to future focused education and to empowering young learners to think creatively about the world around them.
