Cambridge

At CJD, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional education that empowers students to excel. As a Cambridge-certified institution, we offer an English curriculum that meets the highest international standards, ensuring our students receive a high-quality education recognized worldwide.

Our experienced educators foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity. With comprehensive support and resources, we prepare our students not only for academic success but also for a bright future in a global society.

DELF

CJD is a partner school of France Éducation International which ensures the quality of our French language teaching. Both CJD students and external candidates are able to sit the DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes de Langue Française) exams on CJD premises. It can be taken at four levels – A1, A2, B1, B2 – in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). We also offer exam preparation classes conducted by a certified teacher.

Taking a French language exam is an asset in today’s multicultural world, where knowledge of foreign languages is an increasingly important asset. Obtaining this internationally valid qualification gives the examinee entrance to the global community of 88 countries and governments associated with the OIF (International Organisation of Francophonie) and with around 275 million speakers worldwide.

DELE

Colegio Júlio Dinis is part of the network of official DELE exam centres (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera), which means that anyone registering with us can get certified in their level of knowledge of Spanish. Both CJD students and external candidates are able to take courses and exam preparation courses for school levels A1 and A2/B1. In the future, fthis will be extended to general levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1.

Spanish is an official language in 21 countries, totaling approximately 600 million native speakers. The DELF exams, awarded by the Instituto Cervantes, are valid for life and are recognised throughout the world. As well as opening doors to a wide range of international job opportunities, this language certification is necessary for students wishing to enter higher education in Spain, and is particularly sought after by candidates in the field of medicine.

Eco-Schools

Colégio Júlio Dinis is proud to fly the green flag of Eco-Schools, a Foudation for Environmental Education (FEE) project.

This project aims to get our students involved by leading them to question their role and ways of acting to protect our planet. As such, this is a classroom project that involves the whole school and aims to reach the entire educational community. We seek to motivate and challenge our students on the issues of environmental education and sustainable development. We believe that it is through exploration, involvement and critical thinking that we will pass on to future generations a lasting message of our confidence in a better world.

e-Twinning

For some years now, Colégio Júlio Dinis has carried the eTwinning School Label. This distinction is the result of the implementation of this learning methodology in various stages of education, through interdisciplinary projects that have won national and European awards. As part of this recognition, the eTwinning Junior Academy was created, a free club offered by the school. Aimed at students between the ages of 10 and 15, it is a space where projects are developed with other schools in the eTwinning network and where creativity, camaraderie and active citizenship are promoted.

eTwinning is an Action of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program, whose main objective is to create collaborative work networks between European schools. An eTwinning School promotes inclusion and innovation, teamwork and the active role of students, and is a model for other schools to follow. An eTwinner student is an agent of change.

Digital Leaders

At CJD, we believe in fostering a culture of innovation and digital literacy among our students. Our Digital Leaders programme is designed to empower students to take charge of their own learning while becoming technology advocates within the school community.
