Cambridge Upper Secondary is typically for students aged 14 to 16 years. At CJD we offer Cambridge IGCSE.

At CJD, Cambridge Upper Secondary offers learners a dynamic learning experience that promotes exploration across a wide array of subjects and helps them form connections between different disciplines. At the heart of this stage is the Cambridge IGCSE, an internationally respected qualification that enhances students’ skills in creative thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving, setting them up for higher levels of study. At CJD, students can select from various IGCSE subjects, each offering 1 credit upon completion, except for Coordinated Sciences, which awards 2 credits. To progress to the Advanced Level, students must complete a minimum of 7 credits and successfully pass at least 5 of these credits through their IGCSE exams at the end of Year 11. This approach ensures that learners not only deepen their knowledge but also build a strong, interdisciplinary foundation for future learning.

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive educational experience with a broad selection of Cambridge IGCSE subjects, fostering intellectual curiosity and interdisciplinary connections. An integral part of this stage is the Cambridge ICE (International Certificate of Education, a group award that is widely recognized in the USA and South America. The ICE program supports a well-rounded curriculum. We offer five key curriculum groups:

Group I—Languages (English (First or Second), and Spanish (First or Foreign));

Group II—Humanities and Social Sciences (Economics, Geography, Cambridge Global Perspectives);

Group III—Sciences (Co-ordinated Sciences – Double Award);

Group IV—Mathematics;

Group V—Professional and Creative (Art and Design, Cambridge Global Perspectives, Information and Communication Technology).
