Recognising that education is a continuous process of integral and intentional improvement, it is important that, in Basic Education, we begin to establish the foundational pillars of the Educational Project, creating environments where habits and working methodologies enable the development of autonomous and responsible students, ready for change and capable of evolving in a multicultural, digital world with proficiency in foreign languages.
In this way, CJD defines a flexible model for this educational cycle, led by a team of teachers who ensure a diverse range of curricular and extracurricular offerings, focusing their efforts on enhancing the student experience in the school context.
Taking into account autonomy and curricular flexibility, the College guarantees the promotion of better learning through contextualised curricular management, allowing students to engage in various activities and projects that align with the actions of the Educational Project, namely:
- Artistic Component (Theatre, Creative Dance, Choir, Music Academy, Art and Discovery Workshop);
- Technological Component (Robotics, The Inventors, Technology in Action);
- Sports Component (Rugby, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Swimming, Chess, Martial Arts);
- Themed Rooms (+Study; Clubs related to subjects such as Portuguese, Mathematics, Experimental Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Visual Arts) – operating from 14:20 to 17:00, according to the class schedules;
- Projects (eTwinning; Erasmus+ Project; Eco-Schools).
